Whirlpool duet dryer error code f70
Thiss error signals poor communication between the user interface and the main control board. Not infrequently, the problem results from a glitch, power surge or other issues occurring throughout the electricity network. Please, try thiss: unplug the dryer and wait 1-2 minutes. Then plug it back in. If the code has gone, you can use the device in the normal regine.
If the error is still there, there are a number of possible causes. These include a faulty user interface control board, central control unit, or poor wire harness connection. It is advisable to call a trained technician, who can diagnose and eliminate the problem. This may require a replacement of one or several components.
Please, use a three-prong outlet and make sure it is grounded properly.
Whirlpool duet dryer error code f28
This error code appears only when the device is run in the diagnostic test mode and indicates that the moisture sensor strip is open. It should only close when a wet piece touches both strios simultaneously. If your device is not in the diagnostic mode, and the F28 is there, there must be a short circuit in the interface control board. Try to reset it by unplugging it for about a minute and then plugging it back in. If the error appears again, you may need to replace the interface control board.

Control displaying F31:
- There is L2 (Low or No Line Voltage) code signaling a fault in the home power supply not letting the heating element start.
To clear it, try this:
- Check the household fuse/circuit breaker. If you see it(them) blown/tripped, turn off the circuit breaker for about a minute, and then turn it on. Not unlikely, you will need to replace it(them).
- Check the ppower cord and make ssure it is connected properly. Read the installation manual.
- Run a time fry cycle to test the function.
- Monitor the dryer’s work for a couple of minutes to ensure that the code does not appear again.
Whirlpool cabrio dryer f1 error
The F1 fault code appears on the Whirlpool Cabrio dryer’s display when signals from the control board fail to reach the device’s components.
The problem can be solved in the following ways:
Disconnect the dryer from the mains. Move the device to a place where you can conveniently reach the control panel. Undo the 2 screws in the control panel’s back (it is like in a Cabrio washer shown in the picture below, except the washer has 3 screws). Please, click on the pic to enlarge it and check more details.
Once the 2 screws are out, you can remove the control panel and get to the control board (see the picture below). Most commonly, the F1 error occurs when:
- There are loose connections
- Wires are damaged
- The control board is not functioning prroperly
Check all plugs one by one and reconnect loose ones, if any. Replace all damaged wires. If you detect none of these problems, most likely, the control board is faulty. You can find a good control board using the search box (see below) and replace it. If you do not have experience, contact a trained technician.
Disconnect the dryer from the mains and remove all the plugs on the control board. Please, follow safety requirements and precautions.
Undo the ¼ hex head screw. When you have done it, make sure there are no wires connected to the board. Remove the control board: just slide it rightwards, if you are facing the machine’s back. Please, note the white arrows in the following picture. The screw and the tabs are the only things that fix the control board.
The F1 fault code appears when there is a communication failure between the control board and the machine’s components. It is advisable to check the wiring for loose connections and damage. If there are no loose or damaged wires, most likely, the control board is faulty and needs to be replaced. This error is typical of Whirlpool Cabril washers, as they have a little different type of control board.
Whirlpool tumble dryer error code f06
The F06 may signal a drive motor tachometer issue, as well as a faulty motor or motor drive control board, and poor wiring and connections.
